A Legacy.

I've started a new legacy.
I'm trying so hard on this one and I'd love for you to read/follow/comment on it!

Sorry I haven't updated or made any posts in a long time... I've been extra busy with work and stuff - I haven't had much time for the sims!!
But I managed to make a house today that I'm going to upload to Mediafire once I work out how to use it... (sorreee, again!)

Here it is, anyway.
I'm quite proud of it actually, since I am no builder. It was obviously styled to be like a Tudor house :)
I couldn't be bothered to go round and take pictures of the inside - you can see some of it through the windows though, lol.
I am still working on the Chinese house btw, but it's taking longer than expected with trying to tour it and what not.
But it will happen - eventually!!
So, yeah.
I'll notify everyone when the house is finally available to download.

What do you think of this house?

It's not finished, obviously, but I was just wondering what you thought. xD

I got proportions a little wrong, and I'm not finished furnishing inside, but please comment on this. I'm no builder, so there is no need to tell me that. But I was just... wondering.

I made it for a 'city house' in Late Night, all modern and stuff.

Tell me if you would download it? That might not happen though, unless I work out Mediafire. So...

I Can't Do It <:S

I can't figure out how to put all my cc back into the game - help anyone?

Paparazzi :)

Here's that paparazzi picture. Remember me telling you about the paps and how they kept photographing my two-star sim? Example above, and oh yes, I figured out how to do bigger pictures :)

I think it's quite cool, and you can do stuff like 'Draw Attention' by clicking on the paps and choosing that option. That makes them point at themselves to make them take photographs.

I find it funny when this happens :D

Anyways, I also worked out how to take photos and put them on this blog without having to do screenshots: basically I just find the folder in the sims 3 file labelled 'Screenshots', find the picture I want and copy it into my pictures folder.

I know, I know. How could I have not known that before? I've already explained, I'm slow with that kind of thing. I thought that the picture only got saved into the launcher and then you got ahold of the picture by uploading it onto the website, but luckily not, and now I can have high-resoluton pictures without any stupid boxes and stuff xD

At Last ^.^

As you know, I received Late Night just earlier today. I'm still so happy, LOL :)
The game is really good, but I guess I haven't played it enough (pfffft. I played it like, six hours non-stop. Or was it seven?) to give a full review.
The patch worked perfectly for me and I even managed to get the update - all I had to do was uninstall all my custom content before updating. Obviously I backed it all up, though.
Although, I'm not sure whether to install it all again. I mean, it was CC that fudged up my game in the first place. Plus my game was filled with glitch and virus cc's, the type that make babies look deformed and weird, with naked parts above their heads and six arms.
The only thing I would want back are the hairstyles and clothes and maybe a bit of furniture. Nothing else really. I'm just... not sure. I might go through each one of them, installing them one by one and deleting any virus/glitchy cc that I find.
Anyways, on with Bridgeport :)

Bridgeport. Sorry I only got one photo of the actual world, but I was so caught up in the game that I forgot ^.^ But isn't it beautiful? I love the city life ;) Oh, and sorry I can't get a bigger picture, I can't work out how to do it.

Meh coolio band practising at home in their apartment. Yes, they are all vampires :) The one playing guitar is my own simmeh, and the other two are pre-mades; Tom Bling, my sim's (Melanie Goldrush's) husband, and then a pre-made vampire called... Something Slayer. I can't remember her first name but it began with an E, and they are best friends :) I since then added another band member, one of the Hemlock's - Wogan's sister, I believe, although I've forgotten her name as well ^.^ Sorreh.

My band performing at one of the local clubs. I managed to get into most of the clubs, even the really-exclusive ones when Melanie became a vampire. Usually the bouncer just lets vampires right on through, which is kinda cool, because Melanie only had two celebrity stars at the time, and had been denied access before she changed into a vampire. Oh, and I was a LITTLE disappointed with the whole club thing - unless the bar is a Hot Spot (which only adds about two extra sims) then it is basically you and maybe a couple of your friends that you invited along actually inside, besides the bouncers and bartenders. Also, The Bonsai Rooms (I think that's the name of it...) is ALWAYS empty. Seriously. There are never any other sims inside it, even five-star celebrities, although I haven't actually bumped into any of those yet.

Oh, and I also found a hidden bar in the graveyard. I sent my Slayer sim to the graveyard and there she saw another vampire (a.k.a. the blonde one dancing with the dude in the previous picture. Turns out Melanie turned her into a vampire. Neat. ^.^) who went into this building hidden at the back of the graveyard, down loads of steps and into the bar. There is a bartender and you can get drinks like normal down there, but there will usually be no one there, and it is (I think) only open very late at night and in the early hours of the morning. The bartender came off duty around... ooh, 4 or 5am, that's why he's not in the picture. Although Slayer is and so is the blonde vampire, whose name I've forgotten (This seems to be a trending topic LOL).

Anyways, the bar is apparantly made for vampires as there is one of them coolio (ohyess, coolio) vampire hover-bed thingys and MAYBE the bartender is also a vampire, although I'm not sure.

I don't know if anyone has found this yet, probably. I just felt like it and I usually just explore at sims 3 graveyards as they are an interest of mine, for some STRANGE reason. LOL, I just like looking at the ghosts ;)

Close-up of Blondie here. I loves her fangs and eyes. They look almost pink, which is weird because with almost every vampire I meet they have different coloured eyes. Slayer has red, Melanie has whiteish-silver, Tom has gold, etc. I'm not sure what decides this, it's probably just random LOL.

Overall, I absolutely love the vampires. It's a little bit annoying having to wait two whole sim days for them to transform, but I think it's worth it. Sorry I didn't get a picture of the vampires on the hunt, LOL. It seems with every sim Melanie drinks from, I turn them into a vampire.

Oh, and sidenote, if your sim is a celebrity, then don't make them drink from another sim in public, as someone will see you and 'bad press' or whatever will go around the neighbourhood. So basically, it's like celebrity gossip. Although you can sue them at the city hall and often you get 1,000 simoleons as compensation, and that also gets rid of the bad moodlet. I guess all publicity is good publicity ;]

Also, paparazzi will sometimes randomly show up if your sim is (usually) higher than one or two celebrity stars. They just follow you around and take random pictures, and sometimes write things down in a notebook. I wish I'd gotten a picture of this though, it was rather humerous ;)

Omigosh, I'm writing an essay here. More on Late Night... later, as I will most definitely be playing it for hours and hours for the next... month. Probably more.

I haven't decided yet ;]

It's Arrived :O

It just came through the door :O
I'm updating now, but I'm so worried about whether it's totally gonna mess up my game. And I don't really want to go through the whole process of uninstalling everything and then reinstalling it AGAIN. I've done that twice already.
I think I'm still in shock ;o
Anyways, fingers crossed that this will work.
It doesn't seem to be doing anything atm, which is quite worrying...

I might have to wait until Monday for Late Night.
I know, I know.
I'm devestated too. Turns out I didn't choose the super-fast delivery option from Amazon, because it was like, an extra ten pounds. But now I might have to wait until Monday, and I'm SOOOOOOOO annoyed. I'll have to keep myself busy for the rest of the week/half term + weekend.
But now I'll be one of the last to get it and I'll be back at school so won't be able to play it for the whole day or weekend non-stop (seriously. When I get new EP's I spend literally the whole day playing them... 'cause that's so totally normal. Actually, a lot of my simmer friends do that too...).
So yeah.
Be sad for me :(

This can't be good for me.

I've been torturing (sp? that doesn't look right, cbb to look it up :P) myself all day watching youtube videos about Late Night, such as this one:

An Introduction (of sorts)

I've decided something. I'm going to set myself a challenge.
Now I know Late Night will be arriving any day now (29th to be exact :D) and I will probably be playing that for the next... ooh, FOREVER (or at least until the next one comes out... ^.^), but I wanted to at least start on an introduction so I don't just think "Hey, I'm having so much fun playing this new game, I'll just forget about the old ones and totally focus all my time on this", and then you know, forget about it.
It may not make any sense to you whatsoever, but in my completely cluttered brain it made sense for about ten seconds, so I decided to go along with it.
ANYWAYS, the challenge is basically to create a house for each different travelling world, e.g. Egypt, China and France.
I've almost finished the Chinese one, and even if I say so myself, it's looking pretty good :)
I know I won't be able to upload them and share them with you guys, but oh well. I can't let that stop me from doing everything. I was inspired by Builder's Boulevard (http://www.buildersboulevard.com/) and the project they are working on: Sanshi-Sumei, a Japanese world with all Japanese houses and community lots. Check it out, it's cool.  ;)
I was originally going to just join in with that, but since I can't upload I thought there wasn't any point, so I just did my own ^.^
SORRY this post is so long, lol. I hope you read it all to the end, and if you did, I LOVES you :))

There are a lot of stories on TS3 website (and blogs). And finding a gem of a story can often be a hard task, as so many are made with pre-made pictures, or have awful spelling mistakes (obviously I'm not putting anyone down for not being able to spell, but why not look it up if in doubt?).

Meh Simself/New Banner!

Yeah, my new banner! It took me a while to work it out (I'm slow like that) but I finally did it! Although it took me ages to get my sim to make a good face for the banner.
That is my newly updated simself (I'm not even going to show you my old one). Here is a pic:

Ahh. Much better. I love the hair, and that's all thanks to my game crashing. Y'see, when I update my game my launcher just freezes and nothing happens and I can't play, etc (ect? omg I've forgotten...) and once it just got so bad I had to uninstall EVERYTHING, so I lost all my custom content and blah blah blah. But when I re-installed it I found that I got almost any cc I downloaded from the sims I got off TS3 website. So that equals new, brilliant hair for all ages!! Yey! ;]
Anways, I hope you like my banner and my new simself. Comment on it pleaseeee...

Compare The House ^.^

I was really bored today, so I decided to start doing this thing where I find a picture of a house off google, (you gotta love google) and then remake it on the sims 3. Here is my first attempt at a Converted Barn.

Here is the actual house. Cute, huh?

Here is my verison ;] It's not as good of course, and I couldn't do everything, like the spirally staircase and I couldn't figure out how to do split-level walls. (if you do, then comment.) Also I was going to do a full tour of the inside as well but somehow some of the pictures I screenshotted with got lost or deleted soooo. Yeah. I only have a couple to show you. I wish I could upload this to TS3 website but unfortunately my launcher doesn't let me do that anymore, so I can't. <:(
Anyways...

The lounge/kitchen/dining room. Who likes my attempt at a feature wall? LOL.

It's too bad I don't have a pic for the backyard, because that has to be my favourite bit of this lot. I'd landscaped, debugged insects and fish and decorated and everything, all for nothing. :(
I also had two bedrooms, one master and one single kids bedroom, and also a small nursery. I had one bathroom and a laundry room, which has to be my favourite ROOM in the house. It was so cool, but now it's gone <:(.
I'll see if I can be bothered to go back and re-take screenshots of the rooms I missed, but don't get your hopes up.

Late Night - AHHH!!

Late night is totally looking awesomer than I first realised. I just read the blog on TS3 website (LINK HERE: http://www.thesims3.com/community/news.html?selMonth=8&selYear=2010#563995135 )
and I'm uber-excited!! I had no idea that you could make a band for your simmies... and I think it'll be a lot better than the current music career - where you have practically no say in the band they are in, how often they play and of course, the awesome gigs that you never get to attend.

Also the new world that comes with it - Bridgeport, I believe - looks even awesomer. They look like skyscrapers!! I seriously can't get over the cool buildings and stuff. I'm also looking forwards to the return of the hot tubs. Why didn't they bring those back anyway on TS3 base game? At least now I won't have to make do with my tiny pools with furniture stuck at the bottom (not any fault of the people who do the tutorials... I just stink at that stuff).

I'm totally gonna start busking on the streets when it comes out. Another shot of the skyscrapers - I sure hope they aren't rabbitholes, or I will be very annoyed. <:l

And vampires?! AHHHH!! I'm stuck for choice about the first things I'm gonna do. I expect I'll make one awesome simmie, stop them aging and have them try out everything available.

I just hope everything is as awesome as it looks, because I remember being a tad disappointed with Ambitions, because they totally made the box look cool, and then it just wasn't.

Remember that music video for Lady Antebellum's song "Need You Now"? Yeah, that totally made my excitement for the game even greater, although it made everything look waaaay better than it was.

Watch it and you'll get what I mean. If you have played Ambitions though, of course.

The World of Simming x]

The world of simming is one that I am very familiar to.
I have been playing since The Sims 1, and since that version was out for so long,  I have been playing since I was about seven.
I laugh when I think about those days, when I couldn't figure out how to build walls and my sims ended up having to sleep under the stars every night. But I was only seven.
Then The Sims 2 came out, and I immediately bought it and fell in love with it. It was such a step-up from TS1. I bought almost all of the expansion packs, missing a couple because I was catching up with the ones I'd already bought. I think in TS2 they did too many EP and stuff packs that you couldn't keep up.
And, just as I'd bought a new Sims 2 EP that didn't work, TS3 came out.
And a couple of days after the release, I got it.
I fell in love all over again.
Yeah, I know. It's a bit of an OTT way of getting a new game. But, whatever.
I've got all the EP and the stuff packs out now, apart from Fast Lane stuff, although I plan on getting that one soon.
And of course Late Night, which I will be doing a blog post on soon.
So, that was my short introduction to the world of simming.
Expect many a great things coming your way from this blog. I'll be talking about funny things happening in games, stupid glitches and other people's blogs and exchange items that I loves <3.
